SIP is going to offer a diversity of fantastic experiences during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday which will last from May 31 to June 2.

The 2025 Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race will be held on May 31 to mark the Dragon Boat Festival which, reckoned on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on the day this year.

Concurrently, the Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Fair will be held by Jinji Lake, with 60-plus booths showcasing arts and crafts recognized as intangible cultural heritage.

Another fair will be held at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space, integrating intangible cultural heritage, creative cultural products, music, books and food.

Additionally, the Dragon Boat Store featuring culture related to the festival will be opened online.

Moreover, the “Waterfront Concert” will be staged at Harmony Times Square and Moon Harbor.

The Dang Dang Life Festival, which highlights positive and creative lifestyles, will be held at Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block, and a series of events themed “Meeting in the Clouds, Roaming among Stars” will be held at the SUZHOUEYE Ferris wheel.

Lu Mao, an illustrator, will meet with fans at Suzhou Eslite Bookstore on June 2, introducing his new book and sharing his experiences of painting.

Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre will offer a list of shows including the French musical “Notre Dame de Paris” and the concert with music from classic animation works produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio. Outside it, the Sunset Fair is held every Friday to Sunday.

Moreover, diverse events will be held to celebrate the International Children’s Day that will fall on the second day of the holiday, like various parent-child DIY activities and games at scenic spots, commercial complexes and hotels.
