SIP tailored the “Play & Joy Plan” integrating music, food and fair for visitors to enjoy an unforgettable May Day holiday.
As the holiday began, the waterside concert soon became a sensation. When gentle breeze brushed the lake, soulful melodies lingering in the starry skies added endless romance and vitality to the nights.
Scheduled at Harmony Times Square and Moon Harbor from May 1 to May 5, the concert offered the audiences a distinctive musical experience.
The fair at the old Xietang Street, centered around tea culture, blends Kunqu opera (one of the oldest forms of Chinese opera), pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing in Suzhou dialect) performance, and crafts recognized as intangible cultural heritage into a grand cultural feast.
As part of the fair, a kite exhibition is going on, and will last till May 31.
At Moon Harbor, the retro-newspaper-themed photo booth, which is also an artistic installation, has attracted lots of citizens and photography enthusiasts. Users can pick from an array of vintage-style newspaper props and pose to get a picture boasting retro charm combining modern trendiness.
