Multiple departments in SIP, including those in charge of public security, traffic, urban management, and environmental management, joined hands to create a safe, quiet and orderly environment for students attending the annual national college entrance exam that commenced in Suzhou on June 7.
On the first day of the exam, staff from these departments had been already in position outside the three test sites in SIP by 6:30 a.m., guiding traffic and setting up signs and handy service booths.
The public security department dispatched special task forces to conduct safety inspections inside the test sites, offered services related to household registration, and prepared medicines and school supplies for coping with emergencies.
The traffic police officers optimized traffic management to ensure smooth passages for exam-related vehicles.
The urban management teams reinforced patrols around the test sites, while the environmental and water authorities conducted water quality checks to ensure stable, safe water supply.
