The Ministry of Commerce and several other authorities recently released the “2025-2026 List of Major Cultural Exporters and Major Cultural Export Projects of China” for public consultation. On the list are six companies and two projects from Suzhou, all based in SIP.
Robotime, found in 2007, and Hotta Studio, founded in 2018, made their debut on the List of Major Cultural Exporters. The former has expanded its global presence through offline channels such as gift shops and bookstores and online platforms such as Amazon and eBay. The latter has garnered wide acclaim and great success in both domestic and international markets with its blockbusting supernatural role-playing game named “Tower of Fantasy”.
Other companies on the list are Qinyou Network, iClockwork, Snail Digital Technology, and EasyTech, which have been included more than once.
The projects, the “Detectives from Linglong Academy” (“Fu Sheng Yi Ling Long” in Chinese) and Kiki & Nuna, won a place on the List of Major Cultural Export Projects of China for their wide popularity overseas.
The “Detectives from Linglong Academy” boasts elaborately designed ancient Chinese scenarios and intricate plots where the players can learn about history and savor the charm and essence of traditional Chinese culture.
Kiki & Nuna, a series of animation works created by SIP-based Suzhou Aola Animation Technology Co Ltd, follows the stories of six children living in a small town, showing the psychological growth trajectory of the children. First broadcasted on CCTV-14 of China Central Television, it has also been aired in South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other countries, reaching a global audience of 230 million.
