The CPC SIP Working Committee held a meeting on June 6, sketching the blueprint for the next thirty years.

SIP has kept steady economic growth so far this year, with the GDP increasing by 5.9% to reach RMB91.97 billion in the first quarter.

For industries, SIP has enhanced policy support for equipment replacement, technical upgrading, expansion of investment and production. For foreign trade, special initiatives have been adopted to facilitate foreign trade, with emphasis laid on cross-border e-commerce, digital trade, trade in services, and offshore trade.

Concurrently, SIP has enhanced efforts to attract large investment projects from around the world, and improved its services to accelerate the progress of such projects.

SIP also hosts, organizes and participates in diverse partnering and networking events for businesses engaged in biomedical, AI and other sectors and potential partners. For example, the BioMatch Series are aimed at promoting transfer and transformation of biomedical technologies from universities across the country. So far, five events have been held in different cities to showcase 75 projects from over 20 higher education institutions.

On the other hand, SIP is strengthening reforms and innovations in its institutional system and work mechanisms to strive for more achievements in driving business development, scientific and technological innovation and cultural services, and other aspects.

For urban development, SIP has been improving the local environment and public facilities to make it more livable. The number of pocket parks is increasing to provide nearby residents with more spaces to do physical exercises and have a rest, and a number of “15-minute living circles” have been formed for the convenience of local residents.

For the future, SIP strives to promote higher-level integrated industrial, urban and individual development to blaze a trail for common prosperity for all.
