SIP saw a special music event on the evening of May 17 when expatriates from the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, India, Iran and other countries and a number of locals jointly gave a concert.

Currently, tens of thousands of expats from over 90 countries and regions live and work in SIP, joining hands with the locals to foster an urban ecosystem featuring coexistence of diverse cultures.

“We have lived in SIP for 16 years. You will really enjoy the sports, cultural and commercial atmosphere here,” said Johannes, an executive working at Bosch. Johannes and his son, Benjamin, performed a trumpet duet, while his wife watched beside the stage with a happy smile.

Other participants gave performances with various musical instruments like African drum and guitar, or performed Chinese songs. In this event, music became a link between people of different nationalities.
