The 15th Jiangsu Book Fair is set to take place at Suzhou International Expo Centre in SIP from July 3 to 7.

Held annually since 2011, the Jiangsu Book Fair has played an important role in disseminating Chinese culture and piquing the public’s interest in reading.

Over 600 publishers will participate in this year’s event with more than 100,000 books. Of them, over 400 will sell retail more than 80,000 books on site, and 130-plus exhibitors will sell cultural and creative products.

The main venue will see 165 activities, including the meetings with a number of famous writers. The inaugural Suzhou Literature Week will be held.

The city of Suzhou has announced to provide consumer subsidies totaling RMB1.5 million to the public and reading coupons totaling RMB600,000 to students to ensure readers will enjoy a wonderful experience during the event. Moreover, the Suzhou Federation of Trade Unions will provide 20,000 book coupons to employees of its members.

Apart from that, more than 160 bookstores distributed across Jiangsu province will host reading activities and sales promotions at the same time.
